Beautiful screen!

I received my Fujitsu on Wednesday, and since it is christmas - haven't had a lot of time to actually test it out. But the screen is awesome. here are a few screenshots.

I did not get the TV Tuner version, just the B version.

Whoa Sensei. Now that is a scary signature. Can't hide on the WWW eh?

Finally saw one of these in person tonight for the first time. Makes my 1440x900 WXGA screen look a bit outdated Dang, the screen sure was pretty. *sigh*

BUT, the Japanese over here have it BAD. They've got a CELERON 2.53ghz in the thing. Murder, I tell ya! Unbefreakin'lievable. But then again, I'd hazard a guess that 90% of the notebooks over here are Celerons, so I shouldn't be too surprised.

But sheesh... really- an ATI 9700 w/ a CELERON???

When I opened it up, i though reflection was gonna be a big problem, but once I turn it on, light wasn't reflected off the screen. There is still some reflection when there is a black background.

After starring at the Crystal View for a few days, I went back to my desktop and everything seemed dimmed and colorless.. lol

ahhh i have one myself and absolutely love it. Well minus the tv tuner and DVD burner. But it is a nice gaming machine.

Ah, the Crystal view screens. How do companies still make the old LCD screens after this, the fijitsu crystal view screen is the most beautiful thing i have ever seen, and those pictures, although nice, do absolutely NO justice to how nice they are. Finally, Sony is starting to use their Xbrite Technology, but Im ruined now when it comes to screens..

N6010 DVD Playback?

Hi.

I have heard some concerns from others about the quality of DVD playback on the N6010. How do you find the DVD playback? I have seen some pretty sharp DVD playback on the HP Brightview and Sony Xbrite laptops. I would hate to see the N6010 not be able to deliver the goods on DVD playback.

I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on that.

I've heard the TV Tuner doesn't work so well, either, but my only concern is the DVD playback.

Thanks for whatever you can comment about that!

I will take some pictures of movie playback this weekend, hopefully if I have time. IMO, all movies look great and so far, I have not seen any bad frames or blocks.

Your laptop looks great

I recently recieved my N6010. I got the base model, no TV tuner. But wow...this notebook is truly amazing. It can play any game with high graphics settings at 1440x900 in beautiful 16x9/16x10. It's nice having the extra room on the sides in game ( http://www.djrima.com/images/screenshots/l2/l2.jpg ). The fan is very quiet, and heat has not been an issue even after hours of gaming intensive use. The batter can be conserved when clocking the proc down to 1.86 (about 2 hours of battery) not bad for how giant the screen is on this thing and considering the fact that it is running extremely high spec hardware.

Oh yeah...and how about those Harmon/Kardon speakers...they sound amazing.

i`m getting this laptop as a graduation present on the 20th

how do you underclock it ? using the bios or a program ? this is great news casue the only thing i regret about this laptop is the battery life
post #37 of 117
You underclock by right clicking on the desktop and clicking the 'Screen Saver' tab. At the bottom of the window there is a button that says 'Power'. Click that and you will have power scheme options, such as Max Battery which underclocks the proc to 1.86. Or Always On which makes it 3.2.

You get 2 hours @ 1.86
About 1:15 @ 3.2

thanks for asking though....going into the options I noticed that I had mine at 1.86 (set it like that while I was @ school) and I couldnt figure out why my games were laggin a bit. Hahahaha.

alot of people said that the screen sucks when watching dvds or tv. I heard that it isnt sharp for a dvd and it kinda gets grainy... that is what i heard. Is this true?

Also someone please talk about the tv tuner...heard it was grainy too....
