I just ordered a Cyberpower Xplorer X64-9000, blue. Hopefully everything will come out ok. I think they have the best deals out there. I'll send pics and a review when it comes in.

update

Well everything is ok so far, I had them charge the order on 2 credit cards and they did it correctly. My ship date is Jan 17th, I ordered the blue color and that causes a delay.

Everything is ok so far, screen perfect, packed excellent, one big box with two more inside. Couple of things I do not really like so far: the power cord is too close to the cd rom and I did not receive a booklet explaining all the ports. Pictures will be uploaded tomorrow and more of a review later in the week. Here are the best features so far, really fast, nice paint job(blue), the keys are excellent, mouse pad is big ( I've been on it for 3 hours and have an extra mouse ready, but no need yet )

No problem guys, I did just load and play Command And Conquer Generals, and it plays it very well. Going to install Halflife 2 tomorrow and run some battery tests. I had to wait because I wanted the blue color, but it was well worth it.

Pictures

Here are the first pics, I just looked at them, taken from an old camera. I'll do better later today. Laptop is at home or I'd take more pics now. There is also 2 pics of a Vantec laptop cooler I ordered after reading about the heat issues with the X64, but I have not needed to use it yet and have spent several hours playing C&C Generals. The laptop is not scratched, just reflections.

hahaha...this thread is so not 56K nor shared video friendly. right now i am in school on a T3, though i am using a G4 eMac with the 32mb 9200ATI (weak at best)....monster lag. can't wait to take another look at the pics when i get home with a real video card (128mb ati9700 [lappy] on a 15.4"wxga or 128mb fx5700LE 17" screen [desky])

I am trying to write a review, should I add it here or start a new thread? Also, a co-worker of mine just bought a Sharp laptop at Sam's for 1200, it is very nice, white, with a new plasma screen. It was just a AMD 64 2800+ 512 RAM though, but might be an option for someone looking at watching DVDs etc.
