IE Slow Rendering

Thread Starter
I received my Sager 5660 not so very long ago. Installing Win XP Professional was a very quick breeze. I set it to the highest resolution, and set the fonts to 150% size.

For some reasons, IE takes a very long time to render a web page. Scrolling is very slow too. Is anyone experiencing a similiar thing to me?

Is the video driver installed after installing Win XP? I have seen a similar thing when running Win XP with out installing the specific video card driver for the Radeon 9k.

Sounds like drivers, make sure you install in this order for Windows XP and Win2K:

1)OS
2)Chipset Drivers
3)Audio Drivers
4)Modem Drivers
5)LAN Drivers
6)Video Drivers (using the 6178 drivers)

With XP, you don't HAVE to install the Audio and LAN drivers though.

Ok, I didn't install the display driver. DUH!

I thought that since XP didn't prompt for it, it went through OK.

I guess newer OS's are learning to hide things from us.
