First of all let me say I love this forum. Everyone here is so helpful. I will soon be buying my first sager. I was looking at the 5660's but with now I'm thinking more about the 8886. I can't make up my mind their both so great! Anyway, I was woundering if the mp3 player, while docked, could be used to read SM from my camera? It's not that big of a deal but would be nice. And by the way as any one used the targus cl55 case? How was it?

Good question, I've only used the firewire port for camers. Does your camera use the flash memory cards that are the size of the microdrives? The memory in the MP3 players is the smaller SDRAM.

I didn't know there were more than one size. I have an olympus c-700 ultra zoom, if that helps. The cards i have are the ones that are about 1\3 the size of a credit card, in width.

Yes, that looks to be the same RAM. I'm guessing if you put it in the MP3 player from the camera it would say it's not the correct format and you'd have to format it and wipe it to be able to use it. If I had a camera that used it I'd try it out to confirm for you, but my Canon uses the larger Microdrive.

Thanx for the reply. I've been looking over the manual of the 5660 and the 8886 to try and make up my mind which one to get! what a great problem to have. I noticed that the 8886 will work some what like a router or hub. That is kool! It does more than I thought. The 8886 seems to be very very well rounded and can replace any desktop, which is what I looking for. I think that any one who is having trouble picking one should read the manuals.

Yes, the 8886 is an excellent machine. I first wanted the 5660, but then I saw the 8886 and was immediately sold on it. Reading the manuals is an excellent way to get information about both... I am trying to write the review of the 8886 in a way that people can get an idea of the multitude of uses for it. You might check for reviews of that nature as a reference as well.

You can grab the manual off of the clevo site somewhere. Members of the forum might also email it to you if you'd like. I think I still have it on my hard drive somewhere, lol.

The manual is pretty nice actually. I like it, I had my little bro read it, cuz he loves reading those kinds of things, and he's thorough, so I just ask him whenever I need to know something that I might have forgotten about :-)

Wow. How about the manual for 5660? Which one is that, exactly?
