recovering data from usb jumpdrive

I have accidently and stupidly deleted data and pictures off a Lexar 1gig jumpdrive secure. Since the deletion, a small (<200k) file has been written to the drive and nothing has been done with the device since. What are my possibilities and options? I am searching the internet now. It seems all services offered where I mail it in are > $100. I am looking not to spend much. Any good software that I could use myself? Thanks for any help.

well just doing some reading and it seems that software solutions are not recomended by multiple places. It seems the most recommended solution is to send it to a company? Any companies that are the best for a cheap price?

not cheap... I have some software that supposedly helps one recover lost data, but I never tried it...
