I deleted the C: partition on a i9200, re-formatted the HD and installed XP from the supplied XP Pro CD- it says it's a Home installation. I let it complete, and it indeed shows it as XP Home. XP Pro shows as the second OS on boot, but it won't start. Is this a mistake from Microsoft?
I looked at the disk's volume label, and it does indeed indicate that it's home, even though the physical label says XP Pro. I wonder how often that happens?
EDIT: I've seen at least one other post regarding this. If you haven't checked, it might be a good idea to put the disk in and see if the volume label (w/My Computer or Win Explorer) is home or pro.
