Well it looks horrible but i'll get over it. It arrived over a month early (only took about 9 days to arrive AFTER the purchase date!) So far nothing is wrong with the system EXCEPT I didn't think it was going to be here so early so I just ordered my 1gig corsair DDR. This is my second alienware computer and I have nothing bad to say about them except it can be tough reaching customer service. The only realy prob I had with my old comp is that it had WINDOWS ME. The clarity is amazing and it is quick even for the 256MB ram (though all I have done is hopped on the web) It is a bit of a change going from a 19' monitor to a 12.1' WXDA display though I still love the laptop. One complaint....1 inch thich? *cough*BS*cough* well I haven't had the time to actually measure it but my roomies mac looks thinner. The blinking blue powerlight can be annoying (as everyone has already stated) and that is about it.

Any suggestions/reccomendations to things i need to do to the laptop (ie I have read about updating the BIOS but i am not really sure how to do that)

**my sentia stats are in my sig

Really? I have never had any problem getting customer service or tech support. That was always a plus for me when choosing AW.

I agree completely. Its total BS. I also have a 12" PowerBook that is 1.1 inch think, which really is 1.1 inch thick. The Sentia is almost 1.5 inches thick at its thickest part at the back.

Go to the AW support site and update the drivers to the current ones. This fixed a few problems I had with mine. Defenitely update the BIOS but make sure you do it with AW tech supports help. Not because its hard to do but if you do it on your own you will vioid the warranty. This will fix the powerlight issue among other things.

So I can update teh drivers now, I just need tech support for the BIOS?
I love this laptop! Umm it gets a little warm and also when I play a cd/dvd it runs loud. maybe that is normal, this is my first laptop.
