Qosmio Or P30

Hi,

everybody

I need advice about 2 Toshiba Notebooks, which one will you choose?

P30 canadian version
WINDOWS XP HOME
Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor 548 supporting Hyper-Threading Technology 3.33 GHz, 533MHz PSB
512 mb pc-2700 333mhz
DISPLAY 17" ; ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON™ 9700 with 128MB DDR video memory
HD 80.0 GB 5400RPM
DVD+-WRITER
1 YEAR INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY

OR QOSMIO F10-GP1 canadian version

WINDOWS MCE 2005

1.8GHZ CENTRINO MOBILE CACHE 2MB 400MHZ
DISPLAY 15.4" ;128MB GeForce FX Go 5700
512MB PC-2700 333MHZ
80GB 5400RPM
TV TUNER INCLUDED
DVD+-WRITER
3 YEARS INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY + 3 YEARS SYSTEM GUARD WARRANTY

I WANT TO KNOW IF CAN PLAY DOOM 3 IN HIGH QUALITY ON THE QOSMIO?

AND ANYBODY HAS MADE REVIEW ABOUT THE QOSMIO 15.4" IT IS NOISY? CAN I PLAY INTENSIVE GAMES ON IT?

AND THE P30 REVIEW?

I'm sure either laptop will do what you want it to do but do not get the P30 if the quality of the screen is important too you.

Don't get me wrong it's an ok screen but the Qosmio has a much nicer looking screen. I bought a P30 - MH1 and returned it cause the screen was not as crisp as I had wanted. Other then that the P30 is a fine machine. I bought instead an HP ZD7380US which is very similar to the P30 but has a very very crisp and sharp screen and was only slightly more. It also has the TV tuner and media center features. You might wanna check that out.

I'm suprised not to see more on HP Notebooks on this forum.

Bachir, you should go see the notebook in person first. As stated by Lainar, the P30 screen has a bad finish compared with the Qosmio. I am pretty certain the Gfx5700 can handle Doom 3; Gfx 5700 and R9700 (both mobile versions) are pretty similiar in performance. The processers are also comparable too, even though their core operating frequency to ~2Ghz appart.

I went with a Sager 9860 and its better than a qosmio for just a bit more money. I had been thinking long and hard about that one and just made my decision the other day.

I thought the zd8000 by HP was nice too. Sorry if i got the name wrong but i know that i really liked one that HP has.

Yep...i talked with them and they said the laptop was not working properly so they offered me one of the two laptops that i mentioned. now i dont know wich one i going to choose.
