If the people who had these negative impressions of Hypersonic's CS/support are still around, they are much better able to address this question.
Unleaded, that was me. I did get a CX5 w/ pixel problem (I had the pixel insurance). I had left a smudge behind from poiting it out to somebody. That smudge was still there when it was returned with the same exact problem. The experience of returning it was horrible too. The documentation sent to me clearly stated that if the computer had been purchased in the last 30 days, it would be sent to them overnight and sent back to me overnight. Instead, my notebook was sent to them 2 day shipping and returned ground shipping even though I was promised overnight shipping. When I found this out, I called and was told they recently changed their policy.
Next, I called to see what could be done from here. Initially, they were going to take it back and fix (or not fix as the case may be) it again, but I threatened to return it for a refund. All of the sudden they could advance replace my system (via overnight shipping), which was awsome, except the one they sent me blue screened from time to time and had a dead pixel and arrived a day late. This time I was pretty upset, but still remained calm on the phone and was hung up on. I called back and demanded to speak with a supervisor. He wanted me to talk to the customer care supervisor before returning my computer. I talked to this person and was offered a game and the guarantee that only their best techs would be looking at my computer when I shipped it back in. Unfortunately, what I really wanted was a computer that worked, and I had heard on here a number of times that people have had nice upgrades done to their computers for a lot less hassle. I commented that I didn't think it was fair in this case for me to pay shipping to them, but that went ignored. In the end, I was more than happy to pay the money to make sure I'd never have to see it again.
After I got my refund, I ordered a Falcon Northwest who seem to be much better to deal with.
If you decide to go with Hypersonic, I hope you have a better experience, but this is what I think of Hypersonic
