install error for 3.6, so i'm back to v7.

I tried to install the 3.6 drivers but had some problems. So I decided to go back to the drivers on the Sagernotebooks.com site, the v7. something. They seemed to unpack and load well and then I restarted my lappy.

I had uinstalled my previous drivers but couldn't remove the ati control panel from the windows control panel.

Either way, I just installed the new drivers but it's not recognized. I also get this error when i try to uninstall the ati control panel:

setup failed to run installation, the remote procedure call failed.

any ideas?

Try going to this website and take the ati_m9_6368 drivers.

Remove your current ati drivers, but keep your control panel, then extract the drivers and click setup, then your done.

These modified drivers are an easy install.

oh man thanks a ton! So far so good. Hopefully these drivers will make my crt output less dim.

Yeah I forgout about the seven.net site and went straight to ATI and had a ton of problems.

Oh well. Thanks for your help.
