All for an amazing $1249 !!! BEAT THAT!

I have been looking around for a good notebook for gaming/school/work. This is by far the best deal I found anywhere.

You can optimize it to whatever your needs are, the above price is the base price with all the specs listed above.
Also, you have the option of choosing from a couple of different metallic colors too. (Above comes w/ regular metallic silver color)

I just got the notebook, and I love it. I give it an overall performance of 8/10. The price is unbeatable. Battery life is a downside. Regular use 2-3 hours Max. Gaming puts it at a max of 1.5-2 hours battery life. (Not to bad)

- Games (FarCry, Half Life 2, etc.) run extremly smooth. (high resolution= no problems.)
- Performance, so far no crashes or freezing.
- Screen is crystal clear
- DVD, battery life is short ( depends on how long the movie is, 1.2-1.5 hours)
- Obviously, the only major downside of this laptop is its battery life..

I did not put any pictures up but you can go to the following link:

I recommend this notebook for anyone that wants performance worth their every penny! It is a great first notebook for gamers and for students. I dont recommend it for bussiness use.

How did you feel about the heat while gaming? Many people remark on the handrest getting really warm. Is this a problem?

Also, are the fans quiet?

I ordered a Battalion 101ML last week. How long did it take until you received yours? Did you pay for rush or faster shipping? Thanks.

Reply to most of the ?'s

Thanks abf..for the warm welcome. Im a newbie in the laptop industry, so teach.. im willing to learn! lol.

dbk777- The contrast and brightness is very good.Build quality is good. Squeeking in what sense??- regular squeeking noises a laptop makes can be heard. Like I said guys, I just got it recently. I have not tested every little detail yet. It is sturdy, no problems so far.

Ling- I left town after I ordered it, my parents received it for me. I think it took like 7 bussiness days for mine to arrive.

Astu222- As far as customer service is regarded, I've heard from numerous people that it stinks. However, I have not dealt w/ them yet and hope not to anytime soon. As far as ordering went..$$$ no problems of course, cus they want my $$$.

Irdial- Indeed, handrest did get quite warm. I'm glad you mention that, I completely forgot to remark on that. However, it really did not bother me. Then again it might be a problem for some people. Fans are not to quite. Especially after it heats up .. but they are not annoying either.

I hope I answered most of your ?'s. Keep in mind im not a hardcore laptop user. I only use it for gaming and school. Like I said for the price ..so far..I think it was worth my money. I will make sure to post any issues I think might be of great concern...

Thanks.

To those of you still concidering this notebook. Remember that the Acer TreavelMate 4402wlmi is available for ~$1250. WXGA, Turion 64 ML-30, X700 64MB, 512MB, 100GB 5400rpm, DVD+-RW Dual Layer, Windows XP Pro, 6-in-1 reader etc... For that price I don't really see any place for the Uniwill 258ka0 anymore IMHO. Also the Gateway 7510gx is sometimes on sale for $1249 at best buy.
