This is an excerpt from my review...
Well, I tried unsuccessfully to get spdif to work at my friend's house, and after looking online I found out why...
http://www.pro-star.com/faq/TM-0072.htm
I searched for help on it and I found a site at prostar (same stuff at sager) and it helps a lot... It's a little out of date, but it says essentially restart the computer and enable the spdif in the bios, THEN install the audio drivers, and then go to the volume controls and get them on for the spdif and raise the volume, and then enable it in the dvd player. Also, you should set the speakers to 5.1 surround. Well, that helps a lot, lol. I will try again next time I go there :-)
So, I will keep everyone updated on this... before it the spdif volume controls appeared but were gray and couldn't be messed with. Hopefully after I reinstall the drivers, that will change. :-) Goodnight everyone!
