PROGRESS!!!!! Almost the money shot! - Page 3

I went thru a similar thing with the 9600Pro on my 8600 when it had to be replaced by a card that was 4 revisions greater than the first card.

Bump.

Hey whackamac, we need that mx800 bios! My mr9800 hit 500 GPU and 412 Mem stable OC and it would be even more insane with more pipes!

Maybe some corporate espionage or l33t hAx0r moves are in order?
how many artifacts? :>
None! I was in disbelief, but it was there. 501 Mhz GPU with 4 hours on that freq w/ ati tool 0.2.2. I even ran 3dmark03 on it, and I didn't see any artifacting.

Nice I am guessing these are the later iterations of the grapx card with the better memory? Darn it I feel like upgrading the GPU from a 9800 to another 9800 just for the better memory!!
Well his Core is the one that's really overclocking higher than usual. His memory at 412 is right on the money as far as averages are concerned.

Seems like most everyone tops out around 400-420 on the memory. Few have gone over 440.

Say the additional quad(s) are opened, memory speed will have an even greater impact on performance, as it will be the limiting factor. Yes, benchmarks will go up - but someone with memory at 450MHz will have a nice lead over someone with memory at 400Mhz.

Must....have......GAH!

Here hopin'!

EDIT: by the way, anyone else have problems with 3dMark and their gfx card showing up as generic VGA in the project manager??? (cannot publish results)
Yup, Futuremark still denies of the MR9800's existence

Man we need to get our anxious hands on the bios so whack can work his magic. I cant wait to have all 12 pipelines enabld. Wonder what the heat from that would be like.
