First, lets rehash some things:

I stated this:

Congrats Nomiad. I am glad you finally got your system. Very clean and surely a beast.

and I retorted with this:

I like Falcon and all, as they are still a classy boutique and close to Voodoo. Hard to find that outside of yourself nowadays. I'm going to write this off as an anomaly. But this system was received by someone I know on 12/21/04.

But if this is what they claim:

Perfect cabling
Well routed internal cabling is the mark of a true enthusiast PC maker. You may never even open your case, but the wiring in every Falcon is carefully routed to provide the perfect balance of airflow, accessibility, and aesthetics.

And this is what you get

Then someone's definition of "perfect" is f**ked.

Obviously, this was done on Monday morning or Friday afternoon

Did I not say that I like Falcon and that they are a good company. Did I not say that this was probably an anomaly? I told Nomiad his PC is nice which it is. It's incredible. But this does not fit the decription of "perfect cabling." they shouldn't even use the that terminology in the first place. Perfection is hard to achieve and that borders on decptive marketing.

I had to mention that it was purcahsed recenlty to show that this was a recent job and I would in no way disclose the owner as respect for him and her.

Again, the system is awesome and the cabling is by no means "bad." it is very good. It just does not fit the criteria of perfect.

We have to stay away from 2-dimensional thinking. Everything is not black and white. Furthermore, I may not have clarified myself and I am in the wrong for that. The main point was not to point out a "stupid Falcon owner," show his name, make him feel bad, but to show the conflict between what is stated by the company and an example of what can happen.

May my opinion change? My opinions change with the times. Just because I state an opinion one day does not mean that it is going to be the same thing the next day. New developments happen and new knowledge comes to light. Ya know? Occasionally I may say the wrong thing or do not get the point across that I am trying to make.

When I quoted Craig's review I had like 12 posts here and I was just trying to show how people could like the case when I obviously think it sucks. I didn't think of Craig's feelings and that must be irritating to have your review quoted in a bad way. But that was my opinion. Obviously, I went about it in the wrong way.

Krew, your reply was very thoughtful. I have already stated that I have to be clearer in my posts and think more about what I write. Oftentimes it i just a flow of wha I am thinking or feeling at the moment without using the self-scritic here.

However, I do not have some short man syndrome. I do not look at my height as a disadvantage. It is other people are consumed with height. I mean that really speka with voumes about society. Society is in a love affair with height. But I am not that short (short is a pretty general term) and definitely not a small person. Society is conditioned with archetypes for standards of beuaty and one of the lauded traits is height. Just like skinniness in women. It is a said state of affairs. So you pass judgement on me becuase of my height and assume I do certain things because of my height. You try to pigeonhole me in with some cliche about short men? C'mon.

jsd91741 - I don't appreciate that reply or agree with your conclusions, but that is your opinion. So I make a photoalbum public and you abuse that kindness. You try to turn it against me. The photoalbum was for friends and people who wanted to see my systems. Thanks for violating that.

And Craig, standing for a community is good. That is very noble. If you read through some of my posts in this thread, you can clearly see that I accepted blame, said I would correct it, and was very "civil" in my posting.

The only thing I received for that was harsher replies. Nice community. SHould I be more domineeing so you guys lay off? No, I tried to be clam and composed and yo all egg each other on. There have been personal attacks directed at me and threats made. I don't like to get into grabbing other people's words, but for example, I have seen commish get bashed (maybe rightfully0 by mods and others for posting incessantly about his Dell. You claim that this doesn't happen in this community.

Thanks for cracking me up DarthBeavis. You have a fine sense of humor. Good luck with your new system.

Anyway, sorry this all happened. Take care of yourseleves. I wish you all the best.

TJ, you're right. And we are opening the Alienware desktop section of the forums up to a much broader array of machines. You'll notice all the Falcon guys are more than welcomed here lately and that Commish, for all of his incessant XPS ramblings, has not yet been strung up on the banned tree...and will not be if he stays on the desktop topic as it relates to Alienware and other boutique brands.

Aurora and I are pushing for a broader desktop focus here but we've got to grow the AW Desktop forums a bit more to convince the site Admin, Adam, that we can support a seperate Subforum all together...for instance, we're pushing for two seperate Tech support sub forums , one Desktop and one Notebook.

TJ, I appreciate your unbiased opinions on both our boards and the other one you mentinoed...please, I ask you all this, always send PM's to Aurora and myself when you think we can do things a different way to make a better environment/community. We cannot grow if we don't have input from all of you (whom this forum is for anyway).

Thin you shouldn’t put the password to your photo album on the internet for anyone to find.
