Keyboard Disables out of Standby

I have my 9860 setup like a Desktop where I have all perfipherals, including the keyboard, plugged into the lappy. It just so happens that when the laptop comes out of standby the keyboard gets disabled.

I am using Windows XP Pro SP2 with all updates. I'm using Sagers latest bios for both the system and keyboard. The keyboard works fine when I use the system but if the system goes into powersave mode (standby), then when it comes out of standby the keyboard is no good. Only the mouse works. Does anyone else suffer from this? Is there something I should be doing?

Thanks in advance.

Is it a USB pr PS2 keyboard ? If it shows up in Device Manager, see if it has a setting that allows the keyboard to go to sleep and disable it.

It's a standard PS2 keyboard. It's the Microsoft Natural keyboard pro. I have it, and only it, plugged into the PS2 port on the back of the 9860. I have my mouse plugged into a USB port.

I didn't see any setting to allow me to do what you suggested CP.

I did a quick search and that keyboard has a sleep button on it but that is put the PC/Laptop into standby. So I'm not sure why the keyboard does not wake up. I'm not even sure if those buttons work on WinXP.
