sager put a void warrantee sticker on my 8790

I sent my 8790 in for repair a month ago....my ethernet port had stopped working and my firewire never worked from the beginning...
i got it back, in working condition...they apparently had to replace the system board....

there is a sticker on it..(i'll take a pic later..) that says void warrantee, or something to that effect....why would they have done that?
the only thing i've opened is the hard drive door, to upgrade my hard drive....
removed the keyboard, to loosen the screws over the video card area (which fixes the pink lines problem....)

and i've opened the door to where the processor and heat sink is, so i can clean them properly...
would any of that have voided my warrantee?

I'll assume that the sticker does not inform you that the warranty has been voided; but rather, will be if it is removed or altered. Could be wrong though.

i hope you are right, hehehe, i dont believe i did anything to void my warrantee...

I know changing the harddrive doesn't void the warrranty, I have no idea on the processor one cause I've never heard of anyone doing that before, but however I have been told by a few different people that removing the keyboarding does void the warranty but I'm not possitive if they're right.

If it was the same sticker that i had before, it should be covering one of the screw holes on the bottom of the computer, I think its basicly there to prevent you from unscrewing that, so you won't be able to access the mobo, and if you do, they see that the sticker is broken. When i got mine back the sticker was broken, so Tech support must have done it. I've sent it back after that, and they didn't say it was void.... i don't think they really check that too much, because it can be broken in other ways.

Just a thought.
