Anyone recognise this latop and have an opinion on it?

Hey guys,

A number of retailers here in Holland are retailing this notebook at a very low cost recently (€850 pre tax). But Ive never heard of this brand, nor ever seen a review of its notebooks. But Iwas thinking perhaps its a Compal? hmm. Do any of you guy have any ideas? Or better still, do you know of the brand and have an opinion it?

If its ASUS, then I'd feel more comfortable purchasing it. But Im not sure at all what it is - looks kinda 'plastic-y' and cheap build doesnt it?

Nope - I have found it. Its a Uniwell 223ii0 12.1 WXGA laptop. But my second question still remains - anyone have an opinion this laptop vis a vis build quality, keyboard quality, battery life, performance, etc??

IIRC, it's a pretty popular model with the mobile-minded crowd of this forum

spell the company's name right , its UNIWILL not"uniwell". And it is a very good cheap but solid model. Ibuypower, cyberpower, even wal-mart sell it in the states for sub $1000. It is a popular model on this forum if you can live with Intel Extreme 2 GPU. Enjoy!

Yea sorry, Uniwill indeed, no excuse for the spelling error. So it looks like a very good purchase then if you are not a gamer. (Im not..well not really).

It's very cheap. Bad quality. I bought it and returned.

The speaker has strange noise. After 3 days, The connector between LCD and laptop broke, the screws jumped out. I was scared. You should wait for ECS G220 12.1" WXGA with 1.3M camera.
