After months of laptop purchase ho's and hum's I decided on the 8887, so I ordered. I then receive an email stateing that the uxga screens are no longer available ..bleh.. I was able to purchase a toshiba 5200-00E at COST from a friend and although mark up on new units are not massive , I managed to save a great deal.So far this laptop has been great .The screen is amazing,it's tactile,asthetically pleasing and sounds great but my question is about the hardware.It is a 2.2 p4-m,dvdrw combo drive,512 ddr 2100, 5.5 hours battery (with the dual battery) and the nvidia 5600fx go. ..I sold my SOUL for this lappy and am wondering if I should get attached to it,? or have my fun and plan for ebay? ...any input pos or neg would be greatly appreciated , as I am new to this tech. p.s what a great forum
plz excuse my ignorance on these matters ..there are no reviews or info on this machine ...just minor specs on the toshiba website ..I would love some input on the entire package takeing into concideration the low FSB speed as well as the h/d and drive speeds ....thanks in advance
