Is this a joke? Extreme Edition is a marketing scam dude. Go look at benchmarks and you'll see that the Extreme Edition, while offering slightly better performance, is a joke for the price that it sells for. The 3.8 Ghz chip, at its current price, is a joke also. Save some $$$ and put in a 3.6. It's plenty fast and you'll be happy with the performance AND the extra dough!

I second that!!!! Good call except i would say to get the 3.2 (or 3.4) and save even more money and just upgrade later down the line to the 6xx series processors. The performance differences when you in the 3 GHz range between processors is minimal and unnecessary for most all applications.

They ought to call it the EEE instead- Extremely Expensive Edition. Save your money and buy something worthwhile. Heck, throwing your money off a bridge might be just as fruitful as buying an EE...
