Satellite 1955 S803 Keyboard Problem

Hello,
I have a 2 yr. old Toshiba Satellite 1955 S803 that has been operating flawlessly. I brought it home from college for the holidays and when I turned it on at home the keyboard is completely dead. This is the model that has the removable wireless keyboard, but it doesn't work at all (either in or out of the computer). I've searched the Toshiba support site but haven't gotten anywhrere yet. None of the keyboard lights (caps lock) work, and it doesn't work from a DOS prompt either. It almost seems like somehow it's been disabled . Otherwise it must be completely fried.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanksl

Doing a google search for "dead keyboard satellite 1955" I found one reference to a person who is having the same problem. It is still not resolved after 3 trips to repair shop
