Just tested mine out. The movement stayed smooth to about 10 feet away (at about 7-8 feet your too far away to see the screen well anyways). I also had a max range of about 15 feet.

Odd. Mine was no where near that. It has to be the bluetooth module...my cell phone and the microsoft mouse both have really crappy range. I wonder what is causing it. I did get the Bluetooth chip from ebay after I bought the laptop..maybe I got a screwed up one.

Possibly. Or you could have installed it incorrectly. I'd check to make sure that it is connected properly.

Wooster: It tells me to hit the connect button on my keyboard (the setpoint software) but I don't have a bluetooth keyboard, Errrrrr!

As for Bluetooth range, I can go 30-50 ft. with my Logitech Mobile Freedom Headset (with Truemobile 300) and still talk and hear in teamspeak just fine.

EDIT: Just tested the range on the mouse, it is good to almost 30 feet (no walls). I must have a good bluetooth unit

Wow..30 feet? Mine has no signal after about 4 feet. Weird. I'm starting to think this bluetooth card is a piece of junk. I double checked the install...it's pretty easy, and can only go in one way, so it's in right. A question for all you guys that are getting good range...what's the firmware version of your tm 300? Mine says 565 / 6. If you guys have a later firmware I may call Dell spare parts and order a newer module. Thanks for the information!

I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure that the drivers also update the firmware so if you running the latest drivers you *should* have the latest firmware.
