Sorry, Maximum PC reviewed the Aviator EX7, not the Ax7 like you wanted. My bad =)

i used to have the ax7. i was happy with it until i found that it would not play dvd's full screen. i tried fixing it anyway that i could, reinstalling, etc. nothing worked. also the cardbus is pure junk. it is made be ENE. i used the audigy 2 zs notebook with it and the sound was choppy and full of static. that is why i ended up returning it and getting the EX7......that was back around december.....im still trying to figure this out....

AX7 DON'T WAISTE YOUR MONEY, I did!

I have to say that at Hypersonic they were always very polite, and never hesitated to apologize for their endless mistakes and disconnected calls.
It wouldn't be as bad if their tech support paid any attention to the customer. I've owned an AX7 for 5 months, and SINCE DAY ONE, this computer did not work properly. They made me wait till the refund period was over so that I couldn't send it back, and today, five months later no progress has been made. I had to wait for a wireless card for 2 months, and it took many calls to get it shipped; and when it finally arrived, it didn’t work.
To summarize: If your computer works you will be lucky, if not, then welcome to the club. I am retiring a very expensive computer that never worked, and I have no support at all from the weak warrantee that comes with the system. And believe it or not, they will tell you on the phone that they are proud about their “Industry leading Warranty”. BUYER BEWARE

Pros: IT'S AN AMD. Nice screen, nice design, nice colors, and nice features.

Cons: Battery life is about 45 minutes. Many conflicts with hardware and software, even a MAC would be compatible with more stuff. Poor interfaces. Customer care doesn't care.

panatico. If you are having problems with your system, them raise them in the tech support area of this forum. We have a representative of the technical support staff of Hypersonic as a member of the forums and a moderator here for the Hypersonic threads.

As you will hear from me, and others, the tech support does work. I have used it twice on my GX7 (for a DVD drive and for an artifacting video card) last year and with my current system, I will be using it when I return to the states. I have a light leakage issue with my LCD and we have scheduled to take care of this upon my return. To me, that is someone willing to work with the customer. And they were ready to help me with this when I first reported the problem, however, doing it from here will an additional week or so each way to the shipping of the system. They understand this and willing to work with me.

I am not a user of the AX7, but there are several individuals here that are. I am sure they can answer your problems about "many conflicts with hardware and software." For my GX7 and EX7, there has been nothing that has been thrown at it that can not be used. They are Intel systems, not AMD, but I can't imagine that much of a difference.

Again, talk with Pat@Hypersonic in the tech support area.

Thanks.

The AX7 is an AMD based system. What type of problems are you having with your system? If possible please address them in the Technical Support Forum.

Thanks!

I thinkn you misread my statement.

I was stating that I can't talk for the AX7, but my GX7/EX7 systems have taken anything thrown at them. "They" are Intel systems. But if you were confused, others could have been as well. Thanks for catching it.

Read my review of the AX6. Same thing basically but you get an ATI 9700 instead of the AX6's ATI 9600. And of course you're looking at the 3700+ where as in my review it was a 3200+.
