There's a scratch on my 700m screen

I really don't know how it got there... but its there. Now I dont know what to do. I mean, is not the end of the world but it feels like it is.. i'm really bummed out about it.
It looked really bad last night when I first noticed it but today it doesnt look that bad. I don't know why that is. So my question is, is there a way to get this scratch out? Is not that deep scratch (even though it looked like it was last night), so I'm thinking maybe something can be done about it. Should I apply the cleaning wipes that it came with? Would it make it worse? Is there a sure way to fix it? I hope somebody can help. Thanks in advance.

thank goodness for you...i've noticed the screen is rather scratch resistant. i've done some rubbing on it (ok, don't go there) and it has not yielded any scratches so far.

Mine usually consists of dried spit, which I use when I see something more obvious than a fleck. I spit on the screen wiping it gently with some white felt to dry it. Same stuff I use on DVD discs spit and felt cleaning across the discs surface, I have doing it since I bought my first DVD disc in 1997.
