Hi everyone,

I've seen a lot of people asking for help pricing there computers for selling. I too am interested in upgrading and am wondering what price I should be able to get for a used private sale.

The dirt:

Sony Vaio PCG - GRS700

1.6 P4
512 Ram
30 Gig HD
DVD Rom
3 usb ports
1 4pin firewire port
108 MBPS 802.11g US Robotics Wireless card
Great condition/still has solid battery life

If anyone is interested in giving me a hand it would be great. Merry Christmas,

How old, how used? A new one seems to be going for around $1300-$1700 (searches on google/froogle). So, this may go for around 50-60% of the value. This comes to $650-$1000. Start from there and bargain your way up. Personally, I would pay around $500-$600 for such a laptop.

I think the best way to gauge the selling price of a computer is to look up completed items on ebay. Then, adjust accordingly to the condition of your laptop...big premiums are paid for original manuals, packaging, etc.
