Jerky Video

I love my 9860! Still learning all about it.

When I try to watch a movie.....in Win DVD or Media player, the video is jerky. It will be going along...and then freeze....then start up again. The movie keeps playing, but freezing and going...freezing and going.

Any suggestions? I searched the forums, but found nothing.

Any background processes? Try disabling screensaver, power management. Also, make sure drivers are updated. Scan for spyware/adware also.

I unistalled WinDVD that came with the laptop, and got myself winDVD 6.0 platinum. It works perfect.

Click here and download the 71.20 Driver. If you use them make sure you download the *.inf file in the next column and replace it after extracting the files. Seems to work for me.

I've had a problem with the new omega drivers so If you have those then revert back to older omega's.

Out of curiosity do the mobile NV cards have pure video.
