DecidedWell it was a close call but for now at least I have gone with the Dell. I made the decision primarily based on price/feature-set, although there were some definate pros feature-wise to all of them:
Sony: Best screen by far and big pro in the docking station. Big con on the price in addition to the fact that I would have to special order the parts for the internal bluetooth. I could avoid the bluetooth issue by ordering it directly from SonyStyle, but the prices there are even worse.
Toshiba: Great screen, big plus of having the TV-Tuner, battery, *and* two hard drives all in the unit at once. Con was price and the WXGA resolution of the screen.
Dell: No big plus over all the others, but it did offer everything in a much more configurable form and after the discounts came out to be significantly cheaper than I could do otherwise.
I configured the 9200 as:
1450 Wireless (a/b/g)
WUXGA 17" Screen
After discount and taxes, shipping, etc. it came to $1964. I have the RAM already to take it to 2Gig - I just need to order the 100GB Seagate Momentus hard drive to replace the one in it now (from newegg.com - $180) and I'll have it the way I want it.
Of course I *do* plan on making sure I can deal with the screen first once it arrives - from postings and screenshots here on the forum I think I won't have a problem with it but if I do, I'll most likely send it back and end up going with the Sony or the Toshiba.
