Can the CD/DVD drive be swapped out to lighten the weight of the Sentia when traveling? Can you place a filler piece/plug in the CD/DVD spot?

Wow, how do you expect to run any programs while having the CD/DVD drive out @_@ Better hope for lots of hdd space and virtual emulating then!

It is not designed to be swapped out. It is built into the laptop so you'd have to take apart the case to remove it. Plus the outside of the CD is form fit to be a part of the side of the laptop. Perhaps you could manufacure a filler/plug but I'm sure that would void your warranty and would not be easy to do.

Thanks for the info. This doesn't change my mind at all about getting a Sentia. I will likely go for the CD/DVD player only as I have a standalone CD/DVD burner. I've always gone for mobility in my laptops, and I like to get lean and mean whenever possible. This Sentia sounds like a fantastic piece of technology! I am looking forward to getting it!
