A moment of silence

We should all have a moment of silence for the tens of thousands of people who lost their lives in the Tsunami waves in Indonesia. While we are mainly AW people, we should mourn with our Dell brethren as many of their support people are based in this part of the world. May God ease their suffering and quicken their recovery.

'Tis sad. The US and European Union have already pledged at least $15 million and $4 million in support respectively, and Australia (with others) are talking about developing an early warning system. Maybe this level of carnage will be avoided in the future.

The thing is countries where tsunamis often occur already have an early warning system.
Just that the recent tsunami was rare in that region

But that's not true!!! I have seen Dell's commercials and their techs are American

On a more serious note, it sucks when mother nature decides to have fun at our expense.

Agreed, it's quite sad. But it hit rather close to home in this case. My family and I were planning on vacationing at a really nice beach in Sri Lanka this week. Circumstances prevented it, but that beach had 54 injured or dead. 30 some are accounted for, the rest are missing...

All we can do is keep those affected in our hopes and prayers and thank the heavens that none of us were lost in that terrible event.
