Fellow 8790 Owners and PCTorque.com,
I was wondering if you could help me out with a slight annoyance that
I'm having with the SD slot on the 7-in-1 card reader installed on the
Sager 8790 I bought.
Whenever I insert the SD media, I get the usual "What would you like
the G: drive to do? pormpt, and normally choose to see the files in
Windows Explorer.
When I do anything with the files (open, right-click [cut, copy,
paste, etc.], drag, delete, etc.), Windows pukes up an error saying
the following:
Error: Windows - Drive Not Ready
Description: The drive is not ready for use; its door may be open.
Please check drive \Device\Harddisk\DR4 and make sure that a disk is
inserted and that the drive door is closed.
Although I can drag and drop the files on the SD media, I repeatedly
get the pop-up error.
I have a USB card reader that reads the SD media fine, and when inserted
into the 8790, the media is perfectly readable.
I also have a Sony MemoryStick that is perfectly readable in it's designated slot as well. Can't test the other 2 because I don't have the type of media it requires.
