I've been looking for the last week and I can't find any.
Much appreciated. Thanks.
Are you really interested in this one? They are rather expensive here.
This is a place where they are declared to be sold with the student discount (but I am not sure if their price is the minimal possible, that could be found out
withiin 30 mins of web searching):http://www.studentbook.de/modelle.html
I doubt they send them to the US that easily but there is a contact address there.
If you plan to go to Europe, then ...
What is special about X50 for you?
If you go to http://preisvergleich.computerwoche.de/
and put samsung x50 to "suchen" (search) you will see a list of many German resellers with their prices. You can contact them and ask if they can send to the US. There are other price searching engines I can advice you, if you are ineterested. However, I am not sure how much all this will cost to you.
Another spontaneous idea is to visit search.ch (sometimes laptops are cheaper in Switzerland, e.g. Apple). If your intention is serious and you have difficulties
with German/French, I can make a research of the prices and retailers for you.
PS: Belgium is famous for its pralinen, Switzerland - for its chocolate
Belgian supermarket-grade chocolate is sold next door to my home.
The first hit on search.ch (http://www.hawk.ch/samsung_notebooks.htm
) gave a price for 2GHz X50 as 3116CHF which is much less that the prices I saw on German sites. In fact, the price is just waw! (The German "student price" for this model was 3000EUR which is 4500CHF!!) So, Switzerland looks most promising for your purchase! It can be also more flexible regarding the rules than the EU countries. If this is helpful and you have some questions, pls ask me here or on PM.
