I got my 7700 and here are the pics!!! - Page 2

you just cant say its the same thing, alienware may even make the laptop run cooler and faster you wont know till you try both... alot of people same laptops are the same and blah blah blah but if you look in detail we have seen many customers from sager complaning about dead pixels on screens, over heating issues, laptops shuting off, wireless issues, tv tuners issues... so lets just see what alienware has to offer... already guys are getting thier laptops ship and 1 just posted a small review... so lets say how long it takes till we see problems... we just cant say they are the same except for the lid... so lets see what happens in a couple of weeks when those beasts start rolling in....

You know, even if it were the same thing, I'd still go with AW:
Cool lid w/eyes: $80 value
AW name: $40 value
T-shirt: $10 value
Agent ID Card, binder: $10 value
AW high-end Mousepad: $10 value

I don't know what your smoking, but besides the lid, it's the same laptop. We aren't talking about a desktop where you can add extra fans or what not.

LOL

There always has to be the one person that trys to rain on the parade. Well corvette boy
glue your ass to the desk and keep going to smut view because we will be playing doom where ever we feel like.

How is the 3.2 cpu you think it is fast enough? Do you think is conserves battery life. I saw in a review you gave you seem like you got a little better battery life then most that review the 3.4 and 3.6.

Ok whatever that means...

Anyways I'm not trying to rain on someone's parade, I'm stating a fact, there is really no difference but the lid and I guess the paint job.

how can you say its the same... if for some reason the 7700 doesnt get bad reviews and system ship out good and you dont see nobody posting bad reviews about it, how can you say the 7700 is the same as the sager 9860, if i recall all you been hearing lately is customers returning there 9860 because of heat, shutoffs, and dead pixels... so relax dude dont say its all the same, only difference is the lid....there are other things companys do differently...

the basic platform is the same. the motherboard case and screen should be the same. i would find the name of the odm but i am lazy. the odm might pick the best screens for one or the other company but that would be it for that. what is different cpu, ram, drives the ac adapters(sometimes). these are all put in by alienware and sager. i guess the screen might be put in by the compaies but not likely.
thats my opinion. i helped my cusin just order one of these the rich shit head

Everyone complains that it takes ages for an AW to arrive at your door step. The Sager and AW are almost identical, however one has quality control and refuses to except faulty or damaged parts from manufacturers. Hence loads of complaints about overheating, dead pixels etc from people who do not have the patience to wait for an AW.
I rest my case and I will wait patiently for my lappy to arrive.

The eyes are on the lid right??? So hellooo to you.....

No matter how you guys try to spin it, it's basically the same laptop besides the company who takes care of the warranty, and the lid.

PCtorque offers great, more responsive customer service than Alienware IMO.

Oh yea this forum is paid for by PCtorque, the irony.

Last time I check Alienware doesn't make their own notebooks but assembles them from the ODM Clevo. I believe the 7700 aka 9860 is made by Clevo NUFF said....
