3790 Artifacts

I'm on my 2nd 3790. Sent the first one back for refund after trying all 3 DVD ROMs and none of them would play DVDs smoothly. New one plays DVDs perfectly with the 6500A but...

I get horrible artifacts all over the screen when I run World of Warcraft or Doom 3. It is the exact same problem described in these other threads for other models:

This happens right when I launch the game even right after booting up so I don't think it is a heat issue. Also, there is no video bios update available for the 3790 according to tech support. I've gotten the system bios update but that didn't help. I'm currently using Cat 4.12 drivers but I have tried both drivers from Sager's website as well as Omega drivers (which wouldn't work)

Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions before I pay another $50 bucks for another RMA shipment?

if you are sure it is not heat, and i play both those games with that driver set... i would double check to make sure that maybe (somehow) your card got overclocked a little it could be causing it. otherwise...sounds like bad ram on the videocard/ or a not properly seated heatsink on your videocard... RMA it is....

I think I have a similar problem. Noone answered my post about this earlier. My DVD's look like old VHS tapes on a low-res screen. I wish I could find a way to solve this.
