Second laptop to use GeForce Go 6800...ProStar 7095

In this issue of PC Gamer there is a new ad by ProStar, which showcases a new laptop featuring the GeForce Go 6800 using a PCIe interface, the ProStar 7095. I couldn't find any other information about this product save this ad (it's not on ProStar's site yet). But if the ad is accurate, this will be the second laptop to use the card and one of the handful of PCIe laptops out there currently. Since ProStar is another Clevo OEM, hopefully Sager will have this laptop soon as well. Interestingly enough the ad does not advertise this system with DDR2 memory. But I guess we can assume that it uses the 915 chipset.

Heh, the weight isn't stated, but since it is 15.4inches, this one might actually be luggable.

For the 15.4" I'm going to guess betw 9-10lbs.

It's a P4, they needed the extra room for the heatsink.

I think it's not bad. It just looks like it's sitting on a laptop cooler is all.

I guess it's safe to say that it will only be available in DTR notebooks. That's possibly also true for MXM/AXIOM cards unfortunately...

Whatever deity you believe in or don't, as you like, forbid.

All I want is an Athlon 64 notebook with four hours of battery life and upgradable graphics. Is that so wrong? Why must my lust never be fulfilled?

now that is a beautiful sight, perhaps it is the long awaited replacement for the 5600 series

I actualy hope not... Because I like the 56xxs with their non-widescreen displays. But if it is, oh well...

I think it's a new line, like Eurocom's M400 Cobra.

I agree, the design is hidious. I don't even think an aftermarket repaint would help the looks of the 7095.

It is a bit upsetting to see only DTRs with upgradeable gpu's.

It looks nothing like the 400m Cobra below

The Cobra is also a Centrino not Pentium 4 530 and only has 128Mb graphics
- Cobra looks better in my opinion

The 7095d looks as horrible as Aopen 1557
