So I just got a Lenovo Yoga 13. This is my review.
As what I primarily do is writing and programming, having a good keyboard is critical for me, which is why a tablet alone can’t work for me, and...
I have owned dozens of laptops in a variety of brands, and had many different laptops provided for my use at work. Without question, this is the finest I have owned. The Alienware M17x R2 is a...
Lenovo Thinkpad W530 Review

One of the longest and most enduring brands in computers is Thinkpad. Originally developed by IBM in the USA, Thinkpad notebook computers are now...
I wouldn't hold my breath just yet, the Australian distributor for Sager/Clevo assures me that they've been in frequent contact with Clevo (the manufacturer of the Sager 9860) who either don't yet have or aren't willing to commit to a release/shipping date for the x800 PCIe card. Such has been the delay thus far that I'm told they expect to receive shipment of a Compal (another ODM like Clevo) notebook containing the x800 mobility chip even before Clevo/Sager ship theirs. Of course shipping dates can be even more unreliable than release date predictions. I'm sure that as soon as PC Torque have anything conclusive to share they will - until then I suspect we might be waiting a bit longer than two weeks. Interestingly Eurocom have a new listing in the "Future" model section of their website that is a Clevo/Sager D700T - basically a 15" version of the 9860 also expected to offer the x800 PCIe card. It appears from the description and the picture on their site that this is the Clevo/Sager machine that was pictured by at least one early reviewer of the x800 PCIe card so it's safe to assume that it's on the way - just maybe not quite as soon as we would like.
I wonder what the big deal is with the wait for the X800. I can't see a marketing reason for holding on to it, being that the Go6800 is already out and exceding anything that ATI has, which leads me to suspect that there are technological problems with the card that they are still working on. Heat, power or performance.
I think the ideal system for me would be...
amd 64, upgradeable gpu = x800, gig of ram, 7200 rpm drive, hdtv output, slot loading dvd burner, decent sound card with spdif out, no loud fans when there is normal use, not sure if I would want a 15.4 or a 17 inch screen.
And cant decide on glossy screen
And a no dead pixel policy
R'
hmmm that means you won't be using any mini-CDs or mini-DVDs as the slot loading bay does not accepts the mini sized discs.
