what if i could pick up this lappy for $400 + shipping, it it worht it

spec highlights:
- 20gb 4200 rpm (i have an extra 40gb 5400 to replace it with)
-228mb RAM pc 2100 (i have 2x256 pc2100 to replace it with)
-14" XGA (mind you i am using a 15.4" wxga right now)
-DVD-Rom Drive
-1.3Ghz Banias
-Shared GPU up to 64mb

For a second laptop, I think it looks pretty good.

That price is well below retail, is it used, or are there discounts on this laptop?

its used but is in pretty good condition, comes with i belive everything but an OS (no problem) and no manuals (not a problem..i never even read my 258kao manuals).
