So what did you major in? Computer science? I graduated a few years back, but I've started grad school now. I was a chemistry/biology geek And now, I'm getting grad degree in chemical engineering.

Peoples lets get this thread back on subject. Enough with absurd notions of academia and its inadequacies. Part of the growing up process and a permanent rite of passage requires the taking of both the good and the bad. there will always be professors who exchange opinions for legitimate facts and there will always be forms of knowledges that enrich peoples lives without necessarily having any utilitarian economic value(but even this is arguable especially if you have ever been involved in hiring).

Secondly. Alienware is a national company with a prestigious standing in the gaming community. For people to discriminate against it merely because of certain negative service experiences is absurd considering the differentiation of characters making up the company.

Stay tuned I'm not done yet but work calls.

tell the AW haters that you have a word for them that you will proceed to use in a sentence.

"Goan. Goan F**K yourself" that'll shut them up...I just got my lappy and I LOVE IT! there was NO imperfections at all in the LCD screen or the body.

OK sheesh finally have a couple minutes.
CONTINUATION

In looking at the responses of certain moderators here i noticed a general theme that grounds their critical stand here.

First they are constantly trying to get it across to various mental midgets that a review is a review. In other words. When writing a review about a given company, state only the facts and allow that dictum to interpret your personal experience and not vice versa. In a legitimate review, emotive outburst do nothing but show the kind of ass that you are. This website is not a blog, we are not interested in your egocentric fanatical megalomaniac paranoid demeanor(you all have wives and churches for this). This is a forum thus what counts as informative and credible posts are those that maintain a balance between opinions and the facts that correspond or justify them.

This last is directed to the subject of this thread.

Alienware haters are made up of two camps: those who own them and those who don't. The owners are a category or breed that are easily recognized by their anachronistic disposition. First these are people who couldn't rightly afford a machine thus had to make great and very creative sacrifices to obtain one. Similarly these people to vindicate their economic disadvantaged position(going in-dept for a stupid laptop is more a character failure than economic naiveté) came to the company and projected upon it a fantastic and neurotic idealism that no company can ever hope to meet. Basically what this means is these dudes no matter what Alienware does, if it doesn't meet their HIGH standards well to hell with the company. Show me one company that doesn't have its share of negative complaints and i will show you a lier. Be that company a dell or an IBM.

Damn i will be back. sorry. I have to leave off now for a bit.
Um, I don't think you know what anachronistic actually means...

What a bunch of simplistic judgemental bullsh*t. I can easily afford my AW computers, but if something went terribly wrong with them you can be sure I'd be pissed off. It's only right to be upset when you pay through the nose for a laptop and have it arrive DOA or with several dead pixels. Frankly, for what you pay, the depot turnaround is unacceptable in its length, and I've never even had to make use of it. But that's just me projecting my fantastic and neurotic idealism on AW...

I might add that there are people who would rather go into debt for a nice computer than for a nice car. Having a beater that gets them from A to B suits them just fine, while they really enjoy their AW. So what? As long as they love it, who are you to pass judgement?

And I'm one of them...though I didn't go into debt to purchase my 'puter. But I drive a '91 Buick that I got when my grandma passed away. My sister wanted me to get a new car. I would rather have the new computer since the car works just fine. Nothing wrong with that. And had I not had the $4000 for the 'puter, I would have borrowed because I needed the 'puter since mine melted.

And that guy strikes me as someone who is trying to show off his/her enormous intelligence level by making use of words no one utilizes outside of a courtroom or a Harvard lecture. I understand all the words and could use them when speaking, but I don't feel the need to assert my intelligence levels. I would rather talk like a normal human being. I personally don't enjoy sounding like a recording from a legal trial

Well, most of the people who think AW blows that i talk to dont own one. I could care less about those people, they are missing out, but my friend, hes a different story. I would pay any amount of money to convince him that AW doesnt suck like he seems to think (and no, im not going to buy him an AW ) I've been lucky through life, I've had things given to me, i've been given some NICE cars, but always with agreements, whether that be with grades, blah blah....
Now, im 20 years old and dont make much money now, 8.75/HR, and I have a 11,000+ Home Theater, 3 AW computers, a 32inch Sony TV, and the list goes on...I dont feel for those people who say that cant afford it, because when you really want something, you can. I buy all kinds of crap and STILL have money left over. I wear Diesel jeans and where 80 dollar shirts, and I only make 1200 a MONTH!! I pay rent, directtv, internet, and electric, and I still have money to buy these things, its called "saving" your money.

But my friend who hates AW used to not have money at all, he didnt even have a job, but now he moved to a new city and makes TWICE as much as me, but he still acts like hes poor. It just makes me mad, especially when he makes comments like "i cant believe it takes AW 2 weeks to put together a PC" and **** like that, I never have anything to say to come back with...And DB, the only thing that makes me keep my cool when dealing with them is when I think about what you said...

"they are overpriced for poor arse m&ther f'rs", that makes me laugh more and more each time i read it..

I need people like DB to help me put them in their place...please give me things to defend our company!@
Sorry, I've owned an Alienware. And I have the opinion you speak of. But it's my opinion. You'll never get humans to quelch their own opinions, but you don't have to continue communications with those you don't want to. Just don't take it personal if someone's opinion differs from yours. Actually I don't think AW is absolute crap, just mostly crap, LOL. But I hope you fully enjoy yours.

So here's what you say to them (us). "Thanks for your opinion, I disagree."

He would do better to use the words correctly if he wanted to show off his "enormous intelligence level". There is nothing wrong with having a large vocabulary, and using it, but it would certainly be more impressive if the words were used and spelled correctly.

As far as money goes, it's simply a matter of what you choose to spend your money on. There will always be people for whom paying anything more than the absolute rock-bottm price for anything electronic is blasphemous and a terrible waste of money. Other people have no problem dropping loads of cash on things like that. My father will spend enormous amounts of money on paintings or something like that, but laughs at the idea of paying more than $250 for a TV.

And PExeter, where the hell do you live where $1200 a month will pay for rent, utilities, DirecTV, internet, and still leave you enough to save anything?

Cloud i will respond to you because you were respectable enough to warrant some response. First i am not trying to show off, believe me, we are all strangers here thus popularity and personal acclamation are irrelevant. Such notions remind me of people who gain their philosophy from cereal boxes. Second my vocabulary is both a product and a response to my profession and education (which both are none of your business) so please don't try to pigeonhole me into some ridiculous category of studenthood or career that is common. What you deem common (literary-wise) is not what other factions of society deem as common. In your life and work, please stick with your monosyllable words and i wish you the best but at the very least pretend that other segments of society are predisposed and even required to communicate and write above a newspaper education level.

Lastly, if you can justify spending your hard earned cash on a lappy as apposed to a car than i say" do whatever tickles your pickle."<----Darth this is for you.

"As far as money goes, it's simply a matter of what you choose to spend your money on."

Thats the weird thing about my friend, he spends 95% of his time on his computer and the rest with his tv. So why not throw money at that stuff? Idk what he does with his money, because he doesnt ever buy clothes, he hardly owns anything. And hes so tight, once when we were driving through mcdonalds, he was getting something to eat and wanted to pay cash, then some change so he wouldnt get any change back...but I gave the guy his money with no change and he got PISSED...who the f*** cares if you get change back...I was nice enough to drive his ass there..IDk, our relationship is based on who can do things better, were always competing and each one of us always has to be right. And most of the time im right but i humble down and dont say anything, but with this AW deal, i want to just RUB it in his face..however that may be..

PExeter, didn't they make a movie about your (Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo)?

It would ge funny if neosis really looked and sounded like that dude from Slingblade:

"I am predisposed to communicate my personal teste for potted meat"

Now, since you are educated, please tell me what you meant by "apposed". Apposed means to be placed near something, or place or move something next to something else. Did you mean opposed? If so, please read on.

I don't have to choose between new cars and a new computer. If you have been reading the boards you know this (I do not want to eloborate further as I might sound like a bragger). I respect those who do have to struggle to afford their rigs. It builds character (just as does struggling through to get an education). Now, please tell me what you do for a living. I hope like hell you are an attorney or something like that. If you say you work at McDonalds I will bitch slap you around the block.

Hmmm. That looks much better. And from a common student going into a common career. Noesis, wherever you got your education, you might want to get a refund on your English classes.
noesis, first, my vocabulary does not consist only of monosyllable words as you so kindly implied. I am a research chemist and certainly do not use only monosyllables on the job. I have an extensive vocabulary, but I tend to find it helpful to adjust my speech to those I am speaking with. Some of the people on this site don't have the extensive vocabulary that you obviously do, and I do not particularly wish to have them reaching for a dictionary in order to understand my posts. I'm not saying that you are trying to show off your vocabulary, but when you speak at a level so much higher than the majority of the people with whom you are conversing, it can definitely appear that way. I'm sorry if I offended you. That was not my intention.

And I can defend spending my money on a computer as opposed to a new car considering that I don't want a new car. The old one works fine. My computer melted when my apartment complex had a fire. Thus, my hard-earned cash went for a new computer. Yes, my insurance is paying the value of my old computer, but I decided to upgrade. I likely won't get a new car for a few years because cars just don't overly interest me. I could care less what kind of car I have as long as it gets me safely where I need to go with the least amount of hassle.

Damn Darth you almost made me edit my post. I did a several oopses. One is what you mentioned the other was probably inbalance as opposed to imbalance. Darn my bad. But hey you try posting while working and see what you get. You deserve to be tar and feathered for caviling about (criticizing one's grammar puuleez).
Bitch slap me wahahahahahah. Man. No seriously I was not referring to you in my posts. Mah i know that you have enough dough not to make these decisions, hell your wife is a vet and if she makes the money that my friend and family veterinarian makes than you probably don't even need to work to survive.
