Installing new hard drive in M6809

I ordered a new 7200RPM hard drive and would like to know how to go about installing it. Some one said it's just 5 screws to remove the old hard drive. Can't seem to find any pictures or just what screws they took out.

I'm keeping the older hard drive and putting it in a Slimline Aluminum Hard Drive Enclosure Kit USB 2.0.

I also ordered a Premium 1GB DDR PC2700.

All will be here next week.

The screw towards the front directly under the Trackpad area (bottom front middle) holds the HD bay in place. Remove that screw and pull the entire assembly out. There are then four screws securing the HD to the caddy. Remove those.

Thanks for the info! This sounds easy

Yes, the HD and external RAM slot are the two easiest things you will tackle on this notebook.

This is about all I think I want to mess with. The machine runs like a dream as it is, not one problem with it. I'm glad I bought it!
