Question. I am looking into buying several items. I am curious if anyone has experience with them and what they think of them etc... Please let me know.
Thanks,

1. Those cans seem a little gimmicky. Just go pick up a pair of sennhiesers or grados.

2. Razer's previous mouse was the boomerslang, which was a ball mouse (ball mouses are great, except for the fact you always have to clean them). The diamond back has a pretty high dpi. The only downfall to the mouse is that it only has 2 buttons.

3. An audigy 2 ZS will be just fine. Do you really need those extra ports and the remote?

Play the Zalmans with Doom 3, then comment about how gimmicky they are.

i can comment on the razer mouse that i have, the boomslang, is the best mouse i own.

I went with the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA card so I got the Ultrasone HFI-15G Headphones with S-Logic since they PCMCIA card doesn't have the three earphone jacks required for the Zalman earphones.

Weird I thought it had 7 buttons thats what the web page says.

Razer Diamondback Mouse
The Diamondback mouse features a long list of engineering breakthroughs. It is truly the first “hi-res” optical mouse running at an unprecedented 1600 DPI in a single sensor. A 16 bit data-path solution has been implemented, as compared to 8 bit and 12 bit data paths used by other conventional mice. Including our ergonomically designed, ambidextrous shape, with 7 physical buttons, optimized for gaming response, all independently programmable and supported by Razer’s award-winning drivers.

Connection Gold Plated USB 2.0 or 1.1
Inputs 7 Button, 1 scroll wheel
Optical Sensor 1600 CPI
Features Teflon® pads, nonslip buttons, translucent shell, ambidextrous shape, hi-res 16 bit optical sensor
Unit Weight 14.11 oz.

As far as the Sound card... yeah I would like to be able to plug it into a home theater and play the sound through there when I watch DVDs on the go etc...

as far as the mouse is concerned... check out the Logitech MX1000 first before you buy the razor.

if you lift your hand off your mousepad, it goes haywire. that sucks. so if you have a habbit of lifting your hand off of your mousepad, like i and many other people do, then do not get the mx1000.

That is only when you hit it with your hand...you obviously got one that failed quality control....mine is STEADY and comfy

because its a beta product meaning that it is EXTREMLY buggy, like i said about the lifting off of the mousepad, which I do because i have my sensitivty low for accuracy, so i have to lift my mouse off of the mouse pad 1-2 times to spin all the way around. i tried this on the mx1000 i use at work (not that i game at work ), and it went haywire, same with my friends who also has an mx1000 for gaming. plus, because its a wireless mouse, there is a lag, and there is always the chance that the battery will die for no reason at all. which DOES happen with random batteries at random times.

plus charging your mouse is gay.

get the razer diamondback for games, get the mx1000 if you dont game because its great for office use, or the mx510 is a good alternative.
