2. Razer's previous mouse was the boomerslang, which was a ball mouse (ball mouses are great, except for the fact you always have to clean them). The diamond back has a pretty high dpi. The only downfall to the mouse is that it only has 2 buttons.
3. An audigy 2 ZS will be just fine. Do you really need those extra ports and the remote?
Weird I thought it had 7 buttons thats what the web page says.

As far as the Sound card... yeah I would like to be able to plug it into a home theater and play the sound through there when I watch DVDs on the go etc...
