Does anyone know if Gateway is still producing 3520GZ's? I have been monitoring Best Buy's website and for some reason, they haven't been able to restock their 3520GZ's. Will Best Buy restock anytime soon?

I think BB sold out of the 3520gz but I'm sure they will get more in stock, at least the store near me said they would, I just picked one up a week ago, didn't want to wait for more to come in so I drove to another store.

Like ddown said, it's the same as the M210s, with some upgrades so you could always create one on the Gateway site if you don't get one from Best Buy.

I know that the 210 isn't a gaming power house or anything, but would ya'll recommend it for daily work...ie: I am an electrical engineering student and am thinking about getting something that is light with good battery life to take from class to class....my professors put lots of notes and diagrams on our school engineering server and I would rather save them to a hard drive and view them in class then go through 15 million ink cartridges printing them off. Also, like I said I know it is not a gaming power house, but would it be able to play games like command and conquer, neverwinter nights, etc...basically some strategy and rpg games that don't require Doom 3 settings?

Definately would work well for you. It's an awesome notebook.

Thanks Anaconda! Do you or anybody know the battery life of the 210 series? Also, if I get it should I upgrade the following...1.7 GHz to 1.8 GHz, 512 MB to 768 MB ram, and 14.1" Widescreen XGA TFT Active Matrix to 14.1" Ultrabright Widescreen XGA TFT Active Matrix? Combined the three upgrades will only add about $200, which at a base price (minus a warranty) is like $1250. Oh yeah and one other thing, should I go with a 1,3, or 4 year warranty?

My local Best Buy said they are done with them. I picked up a Spotless, perfect floormodel for $799 missing a battery. Picked up a battery for $117 shipped nextday air

Mahachippy, the processor and screen upgrades are fine, but don't get the RAM upgraded through Gateway. Do it yourself, you can get more for less. Look through the forums for the Outpost 1 Gig stick of RAM, then you'll have 1.25 Ghz for much less then what Gateway will do it for.

Thanks for the tip I will look into that...would be nice to save $100 from Gateway for 256 MB of ram...I don't mind spending more if I can get more ram for a better price/performance ratio!

Hey Alias, they had no problem selling you the floor model??? I tried it at my Best Buy, they said they couldn't sell it because it had been discontinued. Made no sense to me, but, oh well...

You might have misunderstood the salesperson, or they simply don't know how to speak. They can't (technically) sell displays before the "out date", or when they are officially a discontinued model. However, exceptions are made from time to time to clear out product.
