I cannot believe I had removed my original post...

All in all Jeremy Oliver aka Karkass etc etc etc has lied and scammed me out of $2050!

As if a colllege student couldn't have enough things to worry about... now this.

Please read on and I hope no one else makes the same mistake I have. One thing's for sure... I will not stop until I get every penny of that $2050.

Any help would be most appreciated.

JEREMY OLIVER! YOU ARE TOTAL SCUM! GET A LIFE! YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS!

cross-ship???? That only applies to when you ship back a defective item to a manufacture for a new replacement item. This term does not apply to payment. Payment is something that can happen instantly and can be electronically verified "instantly". You listed a laptop. Shipping is only your issue. They dont have to "ship" anything.

I basically tell them I wont ship until payment clears. If they dont like it or agree to it then that means they are a crook and trying to steal my stuff without paying for it. If they use the word Indonesia or any other foreign country then that means they are a crook and trying to steal my stuff without paying for it.

Exactly.

wow that sucks man... but hoof is right... why on earth would you agree to ship your item the same time as someone is sending you payment? it just doesnt make sense....

but i too have fell victim to fraud... i was lucky and was able to call the USPS in time and have my package sent back to me....

Never EVER EVER cross ship something your selling - this day and age there is no reason for it unless it's a trade which becomes a little tricky.

This is why this forums needs a FEEDBACK section where people can post positive, negative and neutral feedback on members for the transactions...

This is the ONLY way to ensure a certain level of safety...

Everyone, thank you for your advice.

However, I just got word from Jeremy and it appears he was away due to a death in the family... He claims he will have the money to me on wednesday.

So much of me can understand what he is going through, but a part of me still wishes I had known cause my holidays became a worry fest for the most part.

Anyways... I hope everyone does not isolate this person as a bad buyer/seller. I feel a little bad about making this malicious post, but what was I to do? I had no idea what was going on!

If a moderator catches sign of this, please delete this whole thread. I will probably delete it later on in the day.

Thanks.

I personally use heatware...

Username: Enderet.

I dont think we necessarily need a feedback section, as not all of us do a lot of transactions here. I use anandtech more than anything else and heatware is the norm over there.

I really hope the guy you "sold" it to isn't Jeremy Oliver. I was entertaining trading my Inspiron 700m for his sager 5690 a week or so ago and found his name on the bad traders list on another forum I trade at, anandtech. There is also a thread about him at http://forums.anandtech.com/messagev...=Jeremy+Oliver

I read through it a bit, and I could tell this guy ripped off quite a few people from their laptops, so I decided not to deal with him. I hope your deal works out okay.

Does user ID: "karkass" ring a bell? Sorry Rando191, but you been had by one of the biggest scammers around these parts. Sure he always wants to make good , but rarely ever does. And he ALWAYS wants you to ship him with a promise he'll send payment the same day you ship. Someone needs to teach this guy a lesson he"ll never forget.
damn, karkass again eh?
that faggot has ripped like 20 ppl off here...and always uses a death in his family as an excuse...i guarantee he won't be coming b ack to these forums for a while...DDos is fun...
So thats who karkass was. I think there was also a user named "Work" or "KerryKingIsGod" who was him also. Hopefully trollhunters can help out if Jeremy was the one you delt with...
