The black is rubberized paint. It's what they use on the "eyes" on the rest of the laptop line.

Well, all good things must come to an end, and this is no exception. I tearfully sold my Sentia to a good friend of mine an' bought a macbook. Just thought I'd let y'all know. ;D

I did finally figure out what was causing all the weird quirks with the sentia, see, I'd upgraded to the 1.08 bios which was later recalled. went back to the stock bios, and everything worked like a dream again. *Sigh* A bit of seller's remorse? Yes, probably. ;D
