15.4" LCD fault?

Hi,

I've recently noticed that the bottom of my LCD screen gets rather hot after while. Also I have noticed that when playing games and say my mouse cursor is near the bottom I can see a ghosting effect when moving it, and red shadows that stay on the screen for a split second, when the screen fades to black for example, when half life 2 is loading. I don't recall seeing this effect before.

Is this related to my refresh rate? I have it set to 60Hz default. Or is my LCD starting to die? Or is this normal?

Any advice from you guys would be much appreciated.

Worried now.

Nah, fairly normal and happens commonly. Just heat caused by the backlight, and extended use will have that affect, it won't cause any damage.
