Ok so i got my 8790 with 1 60 gig 7200 rpm harddrive in it. I took the old 80 gig 5400 rpm hardrive out of my broken laptop and put it in my new 8790, setting the 60 gig as master, (Device 0) and the 80 gig as slave (Device 1). The new 60 gig which came with the laptop is the drive with windows on it, and it is the drive from which windows boots, however when all the drive letters are assigned, my old harddrive (80 gig) ends up with the C:, a 10 gig partition on the 80 gig ends up with the D:, and the new 60 gig with windows on it ends up as H: (Other stuff like the flash drives and cd take the in-between stuff). I have tried setting the jumpers to cable select and switching the harddrives around. I suppose the system works fine this way, but i dont like not having the operating system running off c: as it could cause path problems. Any suggestions?
