Look at this info

It is coming soon! Should I keep my order on hold? I asked them today to hold shipping my 9860.

It had better come soon! It was supposed to come out before x-mas and there was no X800 under my tree

Theres not that much difference, but whatever chipset you like better use it. It's pretty much prefrence.

Not anything THAT ground breaking, as it still doesn't have an AMD

Anyone else feel the way i do?

The AMD chips are good, especially for gaming, and they do run quite cool and chew less power (important for overclocking and preserving the battery), but they're not miles better and in a number of productivity apps they're actually quite a bit slower than a P4 (particularly video editing/encoding and 3D modeling/animation apps). 64Bit really isn't that big a deal yet and does it look like becoming a big deal anytime in the next year. The P4 is not a really bad chip, it could be better but it's still superior in pure performance to the mobile AMD64 in a number of instances.

I wouldn't hold my breath just yet, the Australian distributor for Sager/Clevo assures me that they've been in frequent contact with Clevo (the manufacturer of the Sager 9860) who either don't yet have or aren't willing to commit to a release/shipping date for the x800 PCIe card. Such has been the delay thus far that I'm told they expect to receive shipment of a Compal (another ODM like Clevo) notebook containing the x800 mobility chip even before Clevo/Sager ship theirs. Of course shipping dates can be even more unreliable than release date predictions. I'm sure that as soon as PC Torque have anything conclusive to share they will - until then I suspect we might be waiting a bit longer than two weeks. Interestingly Eurocom have a new listing in the "Future" model section of their website that is a Clevo/Sager D700T - basically a 15" version of the 9860 also expected to offer the x800 PCIe card. It appears from the description and the picture on their site that this is the Clevo/Sager machine that was pictured by at least one early reviewer of the x800 PCIe card so it's safe to assume that it's on the way - just maybe not quite as soon as we would like.

Is the card going to be user upgradeable?? Would this be up to Sager or PCTorque?

Apparently Sager and Prostar will have it the same time.

Apparently Sager and Prostar will have it the same time. I read this today:

"Our model 9096 with ATI M28 will be available around the end of this month. Please don’t hesitate to give us a call to reserve a system for yourself so you will be ahead of everyone else."
