If your going to be doing photoshop and lots of graphic rendering, especially with videos, you should go for the Acer Ferrari. AMD is better in that category than the P-M. I'm not sure about how much the Acer 8006 weighs. But you could go for the P-M if you want a lighter lappy with longer battery life. The P-M does music just as well as the AMD. But if your looking for just power go with the AMD

They weight about the same (8006 could be some 100 grams less, or something). Same cassis, in any case. Battery life is probably along the lines of 3h vs 4h for the P-M.

The Acer TM8006 supports DVI/Analog output simultaneously. That means you can have 2 external monitors instead of one on the Ferrari.

If video editing, I think the 8006 is a better choice due to the dual external monitor support. You can have your timeline on one monitor and render preview on the other.

No, it's not possible to have 2 external monitor on the TravelMate 8000 even if there are the VGA and the DVI connector. The manual say that, I've got an 8003.

Isn't that graphics card dependent and they both have the same graphics card?

CPU is still important though

ATI 9700 probably support more than two external monitor, but probably doesn't the bios and the control chipset of the ports on the motherboard?!

Not when it comes to the support for multiple monitors.
