Customer Service

I take back anything negative I might have said about Dells service. I needed a replacement XPS witch I had a hard time getting, it took over a month. They finally got the new one to me and I went from having a 128mb 9700 with 512kb ram to a 9800 and a gig of ram, It also came with XP PRO indstead of HOME. Does Dell do this often when the customer get's such a hard time? I was also wondering if anyone knows the process for returning my old one? I'd rather get the help here than from Dell.

Which old one are you talking about? An old laptop you've had for a couple of years before you upgraded to the XPS, or your bunged up XPS they replaced for you?

I've never heard of being able to keep your hosed XPS and receiving a new one. Should I take a hammer to mine and call up Dell for a replacement? Then I could restore the hammered piece and have two! THEN, I could start asking Whackamack to send me some of his current MR9800 custom bios, and work along side him trying to open the hidden pipes in my card! 'Cuz with just the one machine, I'm TOO damn scared to try it!

If Dell doesn't want it back then strip it for parts, or find a bud who can fix it. Then sell it. If you mean an OLD lappy, just take it to your local ma and pa 'puter shop and sell it there.

I got my laptop back within 2 days. Spilt beer on it, f*cked a couple of keys up but was worried something else might be damaged so i sent it back to be safe. All they must have done is replaced keyboard and shipped back same day cuz i got it back in like 2 days, which is nice and quick but was expecting them to take it to bits and test a little more, as i owned up to spillage...oh well it works now...got no bad words against dell CS

No need for that... while it's a nice thing to say about Dell, you might get angry in the future. This doesn't apply only to Dell -- it applies to life, too; there are circumstances we cannot control.
