Second Hard Drive in 8886?

I have purchased a second hard drive for my 8886 only to discover that for some reason Sager ships their laptops with a dummy bracket instead of a regular bracket (one with an IC bridge) for the second hard drive/optical bay...

I Don't use my TV tuner and I know I could put the hard drive in there but I have heard problems about hard drives now working well in that bay... What I am wondering is if there is if it would be possible to take the IC bridge out of the bay where the TV tuner is and put in the second hard drive/optical bay instead?

A bit confused what you are asking here Tyranous.
Do you want to put the disk in where the TV tuner is, or do you want to put the disk in the 2nd drive bay.

If you are after the brackets go to www.pctorque.com for the brackets for the 8890 (or direct to Sager). The 8890 and 8886 brackets should be the same afaik.

Sorry I wasn't very clear...

I know that I can just put my second hard drive in instead of the TV Tuner, but I read in another post in this forum that the hard drive tended to overheat and performed badly in that bay. Since the only difference between the "dummy" bracket that comes with the laptop and the bracket you purchase from them (for like $40-$50) is the IC bridge....I was wondering if anyone knew if the TV Tuner bay had the same style IC bridge (so I could take the IC bridge out of the TV Tuner bay and put it in the second optical bay instead)?

That I don't know. Sorry dude.
Next time I have the laptop down for maintenance I will have a look though.
