I had the exact same problem with a 4750. I still blame Sager even AFTER the warranty period. As I said, before I'm a wholesaler for them and they won't even help me out. I sent mine back 2 times BEFORE the warranty to fix a problem with my computer. Each time I told them EXACTLY what the problem was and HOW they should fix it. NEITHER time they did not fix it correctly. I called them on the second time why they didn't fix it correctly. They said it was the correct fix. I explained to them there is a design problem and that will not fix the problem. They then blamed it on being abused. I don't think so. You especially don't tell that to a wholesaler. Sure enough the motherboard died 4 months past the warranty. The other crappy thing about it, I was not able to purchase an extended warranty before my 12 months. Their techniques and products (at least the ones I'm familiar with) are crappy. I personally have 2 NP4750s. I've lost so much money by selling Sager. Obviously, I do not sell them or recommend them. Maybe I've just had a ton of bad luck with many machines.
Like I said, there is a fundamental design problem with these machines. I've informed them, free of charge, exactly what the problem is and they refuse to recognize it. It is quite obvious that I'm not full of crap with a bunch of people also have the same exact problem. I'm an engineer by profession, I sell computer, networks, etc for my side business. I've been doing this for 14 years and I've never encountered a company this bad.
