Cleaned Heatsinks

Thread Starter
After lurking for a while, I decided to post. Thanks for the info/links on how to clean the user-accessible fans on the i9100. Is there any easy way to get to the other one. I must say that this forum has been very helpful. Thanks and keep up the good work. My idle temps dropped from 60 to 55C. Just one suggestion, it throws me off when you people talk in farenheight. The rest of the world uses Centigrade, and I've been using it since I built my first computer.
Also, anyone know the specs on the fans. "FAN2" seems to be a custom blower, and already of high quality. "FAN1" says "Sunon" and "Maglev" on it. Sunon is a cheap fan brand, at least from when I built my desktop. It also looks pretty standard. It looks to me like you could upgrade it to a 7000rpm fan. My two sticks of 512MB Hynix ram could also use a heatspreader or something to keep the heat out. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Yeah a heatspreader would be a really good idea. Unfortunately there is no way at least I dont think

I dont think there is much we can do about the fans unless you could the the exact size and somehow mount them in where the old fans were.

And about the heat spreader, back when I was big into the Heat Modding thing I contemplated trying to put a think piece of copper shim in my memory compartment, but due to a lack of space I couldnt. But I have heard good reviews about cooling pads (constantly either blow cold air or suck hot air) to/from your computer.
