Bluetooth Combo and Logitech

Hey all,

I have not installed the two together yet, but how do you configure the Combo card with other devices like the Logitech Bluetooth keyboard/mouse that come with their "own" bluetooth.

When I installed the keyboard/mouse they said I had to use Logitech bluethooth....but that could have been marketing crap too.

Know there are ppl here using the keyboard/mouse combo, so it's gotta work. Can't tell you how, tho'. I'm only using the MX900 (no keyboard). I installed the Billionton drivers that came included w/ the mouse (but not any extra software). Works just fine for me. I can't apparently setup the itty bitty buttons above and below the scroll wheel for fancy apps, but I don't really care. It works great as is for what I want, so I'm not complaining.

Might want to just install the drivers included with your set and see what happens. You might need to install the software package to get full functional usage out of all your keys/buttons, tho'. Don't know how that'll affect things.

Was using a friend's MX510 last night and he'd installed the Logitech software... gave him fancy options for the mouse buttons, but it wouldn't let him use the scroll wheel to open a link in a new tab in Firefox 1.0. Not a wireless mouse, but just a reminder that either way you go, there might be a few trade-offs.

You can give this a try.... Turn on your bluetooth and give it a few seconds to completely enable. Then right click the bluetooth config. wizard and select the option to configure your device to use a service and let the computer find your devices. I use my Micorsoft bluetooth mouse with my 9860 an if it works, just about anything should work. Hell I had trouble with it using the provided bluetooth reciever on my sons computer, but with this one (9860) it works perfect...

MY bluetooth mx900 works fine, although I have an ax7(4750). You don't even need to install the mouse drivers.

I don't plug the cradle into the laptop either, just the power outlet so that I can charge the mouse. You don't need the super high resolution performance because you are going to be limited to 60fps anyway.

My Treo650 has bluetooth dial up networking that works great. My bluetooth GPS also work great.

Do any of you use the bluetooth and the wireless connection at the same time? I don't remember where, probably in the manual somewhere, but I read that you are not supposed to use the wireless and bluetooth functions at the same time because of a device conflict. I wasn't sure if this meant a windows-type irq conflict, or just some slight wireless signal conflict.

They work fine together. I'm using my bluetooth mouse and wifi card as I write this. They both use different antennas.

Been using both together for over 1/2 a year now. Not a single problem.
